Dog Days are Over
I have so many things I've been wanting to post, but have been so busy...! My best friend from Japan was visiting town for a few days, and before that I had a nasty cold. Even though Labor Day was only two weeks ago, it feels like we're already well into the Fall season. Summer is definitely over! A little bitter, but very excited for the apple-picking, sweater-wearing, hot cider season to come!
As a last little glimpse at summer, here are a few snaps I took during Labor Day weekend at the Rockaways Beach with Julia and Arielle.

Planters
My boyfriend introduced me to this online pop-up store site called Bezar. When you subscribe, you get an e-mail each day letting you know of the 4 pop-up stores of the day in each of the following categories: Art, House, Jewelry and Accessories. It's really cool because you get to discover new designers and artists from across the country. Also a bit dangerous because of the flash-sale like temptation. One that particularly caught my eye was the shoe planters by Wyatt Little. I'm kind of obsessed with plants these days...! His works really bring a smile to your face. They are whimsical, kind of silly but also beautiful! Check them out!

Home Goods Finds
The strip on Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill is such a great spot for home goods shopping. Here are a few of my favorites.

Gemma Correll
I feel like I've been putting off the blog posts for a while...things have been a bit hectic since the Nantucket trip. Jenna's wedding was last weekend (Congrats J&J!!) and this week my brother was visiting for a few days from Tokyo. Will post wedding pics when I receive some from Chris aka the wedding photographer...!
With all these things happening, I have been feeling a bit anxious lately. Little things are making me nervous and ticking me off. So when I saw this illustration (first of the list), it reminded of myself and had to laugh about it.
I love Gemma Correll's illustrations. They're quirky, relatable, and kind of sarcastic. Here, including the ultimate worrier illustration, are a few of my favorites.
